Heather has worked in intellectual property for over fifteen years, including at boutique and large national firms, coordinating and supporting patent prosecution throughout the world.
Her experience gives Heather the ability to be attentive to the IP needs of clients in all technical fields varying from individual inventors to large international corporations.
Heather has managed patent portfolios using industry-leading docketing systems and software and has experience in direct file management (Canada, the US and PCT International applications), including working with colleagues abroad for foreign patent filings, prosecution, and maintenance. She has experience working through client portals and using clients’ in-house software systems to track deadlines and maintain their files and portfolios.
Heather is committed to continued education and training in the industry and ensuring that she stays current, informed, and knowledgeable across the ever-evolving IP landscape in the US, Canada, and abroad. She is focused on maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and enabling the firm to consistently deliver excellent service to its clients specifically tailoring to their needs.
Heather embraces the firm’s work-life balance culture by golfing, running, skiing, and caring for her two feline office mascots Monty and Finnegan.
