Shelly offers clients global strategies for protecting and maintaining their intellectual property. As a patent attorney with more than 10 years of experience, she specializes in helping clients, both large and small, protect their patent assets in the areas of pharmaceuticals, chemistry and biotechnology.
Shelly earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry, with high distinction and departmental honors, from Harvey Mudd College, and her Ph.D. in genetics from Harvard University. She earned her law degree from Fordham University School of Law.
Before transitioning into patent law, her scientific research was published in various periodicals, including the journal Science. Prior to joining Leber IP Law, Shelly worked as a scientific advisor, patent agent and patent attorney.
Taking advantage her locale in the coastal Northwest, Shelly and her family enjoy learning to sail. She also enjoys hiking, bicycling and competing in triathlons.
