Known for her keen attention to detail, Patty has been working in intellectual property for over 20 years. She began working at a small firm doing reception and copy typing, and then she worked in a variety of positions in law firms and in house at corporations. With over 20 years as a patent law clerk/paralegal, she is experienced in U.S., international, and Patent Cooperation Treaty patents, as well as Canadian trademarks. Before joining Leber IP Law, she worked as a patent paralegal at Huawei Technologies in Ottawa, Canada, where she won several awards such as the 2014 Legal President's Award, 2015 Outstanding Employee Award, and 2016 Future Star Award.
Patty worked with Leber IP Law’s other paralegal/patent law clerks at a previous firm, and she’s happy to be back on their team, working out of Ottawa with people who are so talented and committed to their jobs.
In her spare time, Patty enjoys spending time with her four children and friends, reading, listening to music, watching movies, and taking road trips.
