Narendra offers clients global strategies for protecting and maintaining their intellectual property to meet business goals. With over 20 years of experience in the chemical biology research at academia, biotech and pharma industry, he specializes in helping clients protect their patent assets in the areas of pharmaceuticals, chemistry and biotechnology.
Narendra earned his master’s degree in chemistry from Lucknow University, India and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. He completed his post-doctoral training at Max-Planck-Institute for Experimental Medicine, Germany and at Harvard Medical School in the area of molecular biomedical engineering. Narendra earned his law degree from Seattle University School of Law.
Before transitioning into patent law, Narendra worked as a director of research at a multinational company. His scientific research was published in various peer reviewed journals, including the journal Nature Biotechnology. Moreover, Narendra is a named inventor in more than 150 patent filings having played key roles in developing RNAi assets at Sirna Therapeutics, Inc. and Marina Biotech, Inc. His earlier patent experience includes time as patent agent at another intellectual property law firm in Seattle.
