Eileen supports worldwide clients from her office in the Boston area.
Eileen has an extensive background in intellectual property, encompassing both sophisticated law firm practice and academic teaching and writing. With a specialty in patent law, she has over 20 years of experience in patent procurement, litigation, and appellate work, and has counseled clients on joint ventures, licenses and other IP agreements. Her work has spanned a broad spectrum of technologies and industries, with an emphasis on biotechnology and consumer products, for diverse clients ranging from individual inventors to major corporations.
Eileen earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry and English from Wellesley College, and a master's degree in chemistry from Dartmouth College. She graduated cum laude from Boston University School of Law.
After a clerkship, she worked briefly for a Boston law firm in general civil litigation before joining Fish & Richardson and transitioning to an intellectual property practice. She has been a Partner at two major law firms, heading an intellectual property practice group at one of them, and she has taught patent law as both a full-time professor and an adjunct professor.
With all that New England offers, Eileen enjoys swimming, sailing and cross-country skiing. She is also an avid fan of theater and ballet.
